This image was made at sunset on a clear summer day in an alpine meadow above 10,000 feet. The lake's surface held its reflection cleanly in the still conditions of late afternoon shadow. Shot on the Fujifilm GFX100S. The medium format sensor resolves the fine detail in the distant peaks and sky gradation that makes large prints of this image work as well at 40x50 as they do at 16x20. This photograph was captured using a Medium Format Digital camera. Shot during sunset in clear conditions, the light and atmosphere shaped the character of this image. Summer light, intense and directional, demanded precise timing and careful exposure management.
